A weekend in a Lake District Glamping Barn - won by...

Win a weekend at Abbot Park Farm - Glamping Barn!

(Competition closed)

Supply teacher? Click here.

Do you work with or for supply teachers?  Are you an education recruitment agency? An umbrella company? If you are, you may think you have a good idea on what makes the perfect supply teacher.

You do? Let's see if you agree with our top finalists:

During National Supply Teacher Week 2014, I asked for your recipes for the perfect supply teacher. A stay in the Lakes was on offer!

Autumn is my favourite time of the year in the English Lake District: colourful, crisp and peaceful - just a little bit magical!  I teamed up with Abbot Park Farm to offer you the chance to win a weekend for up to six adults in their new camping barn.  Abbot Park is a small, family run hill farm occupying 120 acres within the Lake District National Park.

All you had to do was send me your 'Recipe for a Perfect Supply Teacher', in any format you wish.  The competition was judged by Ross Morrison McGill, Award winning Assistant Headteacher; Author of 100 Ideas: Outstanding Lessons, creator of the #5MinPlan; @SLTchat; #TMLondon; @MyEdHunt; @SLTeachMeet; and writer for The Guardian Education and perhaps better known as @TeacherToolkit!

And our lucky winner is...  Gemma Hector of Apple A Day Supply!  Gemma has this to say:

"Thank you so much! We can't wait to visit the lakes, go walking and play games with friends and our Jack Russell puppy Dave!"

Many thanks to Ross for his time and efforts judging the entries... I know he found it a tough one to judge!

Gemma's winning entry is featured here, and you can find other finalists here.
